Spring Fellowship Meeting

11th March

Tea at 5.30 and meeting at 6.30

I wasn’t planning on emailing out until next week, but I know that many of you are soaking this week in prayer and so thought I would give a mid-week update.

Students are telling us that they are listening to the talks from the previous day online (meaning that hopefully many more across campus are hearing the gospel!)

Over 100 International students sharing a meal and hearing the gospel every evening

Please do be praying for us as we follow up with many people who have made a response of some kind. Here are some comments we’ve had from people, I hope they are an encouragement:

“I just want to believe. Coming to these meetings is helping…”

“Very interesting talks…makes Christianity more credible”

“Attended 2 events – both very interesting and as an atheist it has raised questions and I doubt my lack of faith/belief. Thank you!”

These are just a sample of the feedback we have had so far, but it’s thrilling to see how God is stirring something within the hearts and minds of many on this campus.

We are only half way through! Please continue to pray for us in the following areas:

Grill-A-Christian this evening, pray for many to come and engage and that it would be Jesus who is magnified
Energy for the leaders. Several of us are fighting off colds, and there were a few sleepless nights last night.

My course-mate Alex, who came along to a talk yesterday and really engaged, and as a result took away a Mark’s Gospel and wants to chat more with me about it…

That we would be dedicated in our follow up. There are nearly 40 people who have been contacted already off the back of Monday/Tuesday events, please pray for fruit from this.
It’s easy to get bogged down in running around and sorting out practical things in a week like this. It’s all about the glory of God.

“To the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever.”

It starts on Monday 13th Feb until the Friday. The theme is “This is Love” and will be mostly taken by Adrian Holloway.

The programme is attached – the same in most respects inc. evangelist to the one being run at Southampton Univ. (Tom H and co.)

Hannah writes “It’s a really exciting opportunity and I/we would appreciate your prayers leading up to and during the week. My Halls will have its own event on the Monday evening and we’re running a “Dial a Doughnut”, where people text in a ‘Christianity Related’ question and someone will go and answer it with a doughnut! As you can imagine it’ll be quite challenging so specific prayer would be great for this.”
