About Us

Hello! Hopefully you will find this site informative and a great source of information about all that is happening at Fullbridge Church here in Maldon, Essex.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaims that people matter to God and therefore you matter to us.

We want to serve you and show you the love of Jesus. If you do not yet have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus or feel that we can help in any way please do not hesitate to visit or get in touch with us. One of the leaders would be glad to spend some time with you and help you answer any questions you may have.

We are an independent church linked to churches that were called ‘The Brethren’. Our beliefs are firmly based on the Bible.

You will find that we are a mix of people from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to be a family church accommodating all age groups. The common factor we have is that we all share a love for Jesus and seek a closer relationship with Him that affects our whole life 24/7.

The church is led by a group of elders on a day to day basis. Deacon co-ordinate the practical aspects of the work of the church. Volunteers run all church activities.

There is no ‘membership’ as such but those committed to the fellowship are invited to attend church business meetings that are held twice a year.

We believe:

that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is totally true.

that God eternally exists in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that together they are one God who made heaven and earth.

that God sent his Son into the world so that we may be saved.

that Jesus died and rose again and will return.

that in order to be saved we must acknowledge:

that sin is a fact of everyday life

that a penalty has to be paid for this sin

that Jesus Christ has paid that penalty for us

that we are sinners needing to be forgiven by God and then in response we need to personally accept Him as our Saviour and allow Him to rule in our lifes.

that any person who accepts Jesus as his Saviour and believes in God becomes part of the Church. The Church is not the building but the body of believers.

that the power and person of the Holy Spirit is still at work today.

That the scripture instructs us to:

take Communion in memory of our Lord’s sacrifice

baptise believers by immersion in water

We aim to:

share the love of Jesus and tell others about Him

develop Christ-like character and lifestyle with the help of the Holy Spirit.
